Your wait is over. The revised and expanded edition of Crap Hound #6: Death, Telephones and Scissors has arrived. Featuring eight brand new pages, and a gorgeous cover by Jordan Crane, it's sure to delight old and new readers alike.

Debuting in 1994, Crap Hound became a favorite of both zine readers and publishers, and has received enthusiastic reviews from sources including The New York Times Magazine, RE/Search Books, the American Institute Graphic Arts, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

Between a brief introduction and the end credits, Crap Hound is pure imagery. Each page is filled with high-contrast art, carefully taken from vintage catalogs, advertising, obscure books, and found ephemera. Through sheer volume of artfully arranged iconography, Issue No. 6 visually explores popular meaning, cultural ideals and historic symbolism of Death, Telephones and Scissors.

Fabulous detail and antiquing on these resin skull beads. With large side drilled holes, these beads measure 16mm wide by 22mm long. Sold individually.


These bone poker playing card tile beads are similar to our mah jongg tile beads except that they are patterned after a standard deck of poker cards. The beads are two-sided and are drilled top to bottom. They are 25mm high and 19mm wide. The hole is approximately 1mm. They are carved and the color is inlaid (painted). They are not perfectly done (there's some coloring outside the lines!) but we think that adds to their charm!




RESTOCKED: This is a spectacularly fine bone carving of a female torso. Nicely antiqued with a small hole for your jump ring or bail, this is really a unique pendant. Hand carved in China. Pendant measures approximately 1-1/2 inch long by 1-1/4 inch wide at its widest point.


Wood bead skull malas in small size are back in stock! Each strand of tiny skull beads has 108 beads and is strung in the mala style on a silk cord. The smaller skull bead is tiny, measuring 5/16" from top to bottom (6-7mm). The generous holes are drilled top to bottom.



RESTOCKED: Similar in quality to our oval Indonesian carved face beads, these round face beads are a creamy white bone with detailed moon face carving. The beads are approximately 25mm in diameter and are sold individually. Please see the photo for the placement of the holes on the back.

NEW SKULL BEADS:


These 15x16mm bone skull beads are nicely carved with large eye holes. Drilled from top to bottom, these skull beads come in a pack of 10 beads.

As with all of our hand-carved beads, there is some variation in the beads but all are lovely.

These wonderfully carved bone skull bead malas measure approximately 9x10mm and come on a silk cord. There are 108 beads on the cord. Use as is or take apart for a generous supply of these wonderful skull beads for all your jewelry projects.

We were so excited to find a source for these alpaca silver hand nicho necklaces/pins. They are quite nicely made. There is a slot on the top for sliding your own photo (or ATC or mini-collage) into it so it's easy to personalize. There's both a hanging loop and a soldered pin back on the reverse.

We have a great selection of bottlecap/bottle cap pendants back in stock. If you're not familiar with them, our bottle cap jewelry features an assortment of striking images in a bottle cap bezel covered with a clear resin. All pendants have a hanging bail. When it rains, it pours! Many of our orders placed have finally shipped so we have lots of new merchandise to share with you!

First up, a selection of very small nichos (most measure 3x4 or thereabouts). We have these in a couple of finishes: natural (shiny) tin and aged tin. We have an assortment of different designs, including the tiniest flaming heart nicho that we've ever offered with a square niche that is really adorable and just in time for Valentine's day.

And speaking of Valentine's Day, we have these truly wonderful crowning heart nichos in a great size, with curved doors and access to the niche in the rear. These come in two finishes: bright tin and bright tin with antiquing. These measure 6.5 inches wide (from wing tip to wing tip), 6.5 inches tall. Nicho is approximately 2.5 inches by 3 inches and 1/2 inch deep.
