step by step instructions: Library Pocket Books

Once your library pockets have been dyed, dried and flattened (or ironed),

here are the instruction for putting together the book

Working first on a pair of pockets, one should be pocket side up

and the other pocket side down.

Slide the "pocket side down" pocket into the "pocket side up" pocket.

Repeat until you have all of the book pockets linked together.

When you are finished linking the pages together,

one side of your book will have a pocket on the outside and the other will have a "flap".

If you want the book to have symmetrical covers, tuck in the flap of the outside pocket.

Insert another book pocket into the outside book pocket so that when folded, the pocket is on the outside.

This is what it looks like when the back pocket is folded over.

This is the back view of the pocket book.

This is the front view of the pocket book.

Note that this sample does not have windows

but these are easily cut into each pocket using a square punch.
